On Saturday morning I received a lovely phone call from a journalist who works for the local newspaper, The Examiner. She asked if she could ask me some questions about Burrowed for an article that would be in the newspaper the following day - I was more than happy to help! While she was on a roll with her questions, my answers made me realise just how much I had invested into my business, how much passion I still have and how much I really love what I do! Lori Hrycyszyn of Haylo Designs and Erin Crawford of Red Essy Design are also some of my local friends who have their own handmade businesses. I couldn't be more proud of them and myself for this beautiful article!

Our year, 2012.

Burrowed was founded in March 2012 and since then has come a long way! 

Shortly after moving to Scamander on the east coast of Tasmania, Australia in February from Launceston, finding a job was proving to be more difficult than I had anticipated. I needed to try and find something to fill up my spare time - so I learnt to knit! After posting a photo of an infinity scarf I had made to Instagram I received an incredible amount of positive feedback as well some friends asking if I was willing to make some more to sell. And so I did.

Within the first month, my scarves were proving to be a success and the orders kept coming in! Fantastic! Burrowed was born and a new job for me was found much to our relief. 

Since then, my partner Johno and I have moved back to Launceston and have both come across some great opportunities that we couldn't be more thankful for. Burrowed has branched out with a large collection of handmade accessory items inspired by the Tasmanian seasons, flora and fauna and current trends. I have managed to sell all across Australia as well as a few special orders from over seas. I'm very thankful for meeting a large number of amazing people and fellow makers that have helped me to get to where I am today. Looking back at my time with Burrowed; it is fair for me to say that I am truly blessed and I am forever grateful to all my friends, family, loyal customers and fans!
